September Artist of the Month

Abby Gazley 

The Seneca County Arts Council’s Artworks Gallery announces artist Abby Gazley is the featured artist for the month of September.  Abby’s artwork will be on display from September 1 through September 30. ​

Artist Biography:
Abby Gazley has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University and has taught art in public and private classes. Abby spent many years in Connecticut and returned to Seneca Falls and opened an art and frame shop in downtown Seneca Falls.

Her work has been on exhibited in Connecticut at the Mattaluck, Slater, Lyman Allyn Museums, as well as the Anguilla Gallery and the Slade Ely House. Locally she has exhibited in the Women’s Rights National Historic Park, the Schweinfurth Museum, Wilhemina’s Gallery, Geneva Art Works, Cayuga Museum and other area art venues. She is a member of Connecticut Women Artist, Mystic Art Association, New Haven Paint and Clay, Essex Art Association and the Seneca County Arts Council.

Abby says, “Still life has always been, and continues to be my main focus either in watercolor or acrylics. I have also done a series of self-portraits over the years.” She currently teaches watercolor classes at the Artworks Gallery.
